Be Wise as a Serpent, and Harmless as a Dove.

I was reading the current news today, the leader of our nation spoke about other counties in this world with deployable, racist words. I quickly thought of Jesus’s words to Nicodemus ” For God so loved the world that He gave his only son, that whosoever believes in him will not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16 PTL. Then I thought of the inscription on the Statue of Liberty in New York Harbor “Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me; I lift my lamp beside the golden door! The Statue of Liberty-Ellis Island Foundation, Inc.
The U.S.A. was designed to welcome people who risked their own lives for a taste of freedom living in this country. We cannot allow a President to disparage anyone coming from counties less than desirable to live here and enjoy the freedom we cherish. Mr. President, repent and retract your words because Jesus Christ died and rose again for all people, every race, tongue, and creed living on all continents. All of those who support this administration I urge you to stand up and let this President his cabinet know that his constituents are voicing their stern opposition to this culture of hate and white supremacist demagogy spoken and practiced in legislative initiatives of this current administration and the Republican Majorities in the House and Senate. The Wisdom of Love will prevail. To be wise as a serpent knows that this is the time to draw a line in the sand and say ” That will be enough of that.”
You have a voice it’s called voting. Let your representative know that its time to do what’s right for this country and not for your party.
